Overgrown hedges beside the highway

We have had lots of complaints recently from residents regarding overgrown hedges beside highways.

The maintenance of hedges bordering highways is generally the responsibility of the land/homeowners.

The Parish Council are not responsible for cutting the hedges but we can write to residents who have overgrown hedges to request they cut them if we are provided with addresses of offending properties.

More information can be found here on Cornwall Council's website http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/media/3628255/Cornish-Highway-hedge-leaflet-web-2010.pdf
