Additional items now able to be recycled

From today (16th March 2026) there are more every day items you can recycle including food and drink cartons, plastic bags and wrappings in your household recycling.

This includes Tetra Pak-style cartons for milk, juice, soups and more.

Just give cartons a rinse, squash and put them in your red recycling bag.

Squash all your plastic bags, film lids and wrappers into either a either a bread bag, vegetable or fruit bag, or carrier bag to stop it from blowing away. Tie it up and place in your red recycling bag for your fortnightly recycling collection.
