Thank you to everyone who completed our Storm Goretti Emergency Plan feedback survey. The responses have been collated and our Emergency Plan group are busy looking at how to fill the gaps that we have learnt about from the survey. Things like communication problems due to lack of wifi, mobile signal, phone lines being down, prolonged power cuts and how to find out what's going on when you have no internet.

We were thrilled to read from the surveys that the majority had great support from family, friends and neighbours to help them in the aftermath of the storm. We are very grateful to those people who offered to volunteer as part of the Emergency Plan to check in on people who may be isolated and we will be in touch with you soon.

In the meantime, so you can be more prepared in the event of a similar emergency in the future the Government have a list of items they suggest people keep at home and this and other advice can be found here

Its still not too late to tell us your experience of Storm Goretti, you can complete the form online at the link below or in hard copy in our library in Devoran.
