One brand new event that is not on the What's On is the Scythe and other hand tools training day on 28th September at Tregew (nr Roundwood Quay). It would be really good to get an idea of numbers so if you are interested please contact Sue Cooper on sue.cooper.feockpc@gmail.com or 07795985429 and more details wil be sent nearer to the day.

The day will involve David May from the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Neil Stevenson from the National Trust at Trelissick and the volunteer team from Wild Allett who will be teaching attendees about scything and some basic tree/hedge work. The aim being to form a group of volunteers to meet up around the Parish and have fun in the open air managing spaces and footpaths for wildlife and community. If you want to learn simply to use skills in your own patch of garden etc that is absolutely fine.
